It talks about how there may be a "champion" of the ocean-dwellers, bioengineered for war. Next entry is called Oceandweller Rumors. I think we can start to see a pattern here. She then finishes it saying that those ocean-dwellers should know their place. Cordelia also comments that Perlas is "unfortunately one of the good ones". But Cordelia is convinced this is just a talk from people who had it too good for too long and even her maid, one of the ocean-dwellers named Perlas, agrees with her princess. It talks about how the spacecraft was going through the last checks before launch, something to be excited about, except for the ocean-dwellers themselves, who complain about long hours and dangerous conditions. She also talks about putting the ocean-dwellers to work on Bakunawa, taking them from their "primitive ways". She talks about her pride in being an Earth Dragon for coming so far, after crash landing in the planet, they tried to go back home but to no avail, so they helped the locals to develop with their own technology, even giving the planet a proper name. I'll list some here that are relevant for this theory. Cordelia is a Shang Tusian princess who recorded all the log entries we find in the game. some reason (I don't remember right now) and those said dragons were really good with bioengineering, so they enhanced themselves, something that made the Earth Dragons see them as a potential workforce to build the Bakunawa, a space-faring arkship that would take everyone to space. They were seen as a bunch of savages by the Earth Dragons for. It is said that the ocean-dwellers were actually a collection of many different aquatic species that "had their names taken away" by the Earth Dragons and later called the bunch as Water Dragons. I'll try to expose my line of reasoning here and please, if I made any mistake here, by all means.įirst, there is the matter about the Water Dragons. So that means the Earth Dragons are evil, or at least the previous magister is and that it is understandable for Merga to hold such a vengeance feeling over the destruction of her kind? That doesn't add up. All points to the magister's forefathers being the ones responsible for decimating the ocean-dwellers, now called Water Dragons and, in fact, it is backed up with quite a bit of history digging up. Through the time capsules and the dialogues between Merga and The Magister, it's clear that there is a big no-no that was done there, and it was genocide. Earth Dragons seeing the ocean-dwellers as a bunch of primitives, and the dragons themselves having a bit of a large ego for being very advanced technologically and there is the creation of Bakunawa. But I have a hypothesis.įirst of all, it's clear there is a lot of contention between them. I just finished playing Lilac's Adventure mode on this game and, gotta be honest, it left me with more questions than answers, more specifically about what exactly caused the war between Earth Dragons and Water Dragons.
